ROSEMARY HERB IN MY TERRACE GARDEN

Rosemary symbolizes memory and remembrance. Rosemary Tea is said to enhance our memory.

Rosemary is one of the most aromatic herbs.

Its lemon Pine aroma blends very well with Garlic, Olive oil, all types of bread, tomato sauce dip, pizza, focaccia.

Rosemary herb is native to the Mediterranean region but it is worldwide grown now and loved by all people.

Rosemary is a perennial evergreen plant with beautiful blue flowers.

It can be grown outdoors as a perennial shrub that can grow so vigorously in an ideal climate.

Rosemary can be grown very slow from seeds. So it is highly suggested to start new Rosemary plants from cuttings of the mother plant.

The cuttings grow quickly in an appropriate environment, we offer and will be ready for outdoors planning.

Rosemary plants love the full sunlight.

Once established, rosemary can happily grow four feet in height and spread four feet as well.
Water evenly throughout the growing phase.

Pruning is a must to avoid the herb getting lanky.

Snip off the young stems with leaves for culinary use,  if you want fresh flavor in your food.

Rosemary is not only used as a culinary herb but also it has been grown as an ornamental plant.

Due to its low maintenance and fast-growing nature adjoined with the beautiful blossom and its mesmerizing fragrance, it has been loved by all over the world.

Rosemary plant's botanical name is Rosemarinus Officinalis. This is an evergreen herb grown as a shrub.
It is the native of the Mediterranean Region. The name of rosemary is derived from two Latin words namely, ros that means "dew" and marinus means "sea". and the so-called " dew of the sea". In Hindi, it is known as Gulmehendi. It is cultivated almost all over the world.

Mythological information:

The Greek Goddess Aphrodite was covered in rosemary when she rose from the sea. Another legend tells that rosemary flower turned from white to pale violet when Virgin Mary spread her cloak over a white blossomed rosemary bush while she was taking rest. Hence this bush is known as the rose of Mary.

I purchased this herb in tiny size from Nurserylive in February 2020. I transplanted in a grow bag 9"X9" size with a good soil mix. Let me see how it will grow in the upcoming hot summer months. I
hope its happy growth and wait with my fingers crossed.
